Institute Mission and Vision

We are inspired by the late Professor Everett M. Rogers, the world’s most influential thinker on innovation-adoption and diffusion.

Originally formed in 2005 as an affiliate of Argosy University (S.F.) and the American School of Professional Psychology, the Diffusion Research Institute’s mission is to develop pragmatic and innovative ideas on how to solve problems related to innovation resistance.

The Diffusion Research Institute is a research and community project inspired by the late Professor Everett M. Rogers (1931-2004). Professor Rogers is regarded the world’s most influential thinker on innovation-adoption and diffusion.

The purpose of The Institute’s research activities is to sift through the many sources of information and advice available to identify theories and frameworks that can serve as a reliable guide for business leaders and entrepreneurs.

We aspire to Professor Rogers’ ideal of sociology and communications as noble professions and advocate for human-focused, theory-driven leadership among our constituents. Our research studies, analysis and content were made available to the public in 2022.
